Ten Years Later in 2002 The Hard Drives Containing The Film Were Stolen In An Act Of Industrial Espionage So The Filmmakers had to start over Another ten years later in 2012 The film Went Straight To DVD Because Nobody Wanted to see it at the cinemas despite receiving poor ratings and bad reviews Reception[edit | edit source]The film only grossed $73, 706 of it's $45, 000, 000 budget. This is considered a colossal movie bomb, not even making a quarter of the budget back.[3] This film is highly regarded as one of the WORST movies of all time. And It has the lowest rating ever on Rotten Tomatoes[4]. Amid Amidi of cartoonbrew.com called it "PURE EVIL.[5]", and mentioned that The director Lawrence Kasanoff Whose notes were often to make the movie was to make it "more awesome", with little other direction. The Nostalgia Critic made a large video review of it, and said, "This went from 'submitting a stick figure to an art museum' embarrassing to the Extreme for your pants in front of Pixar and claiming it's your magnum opus' embarrassing[6]." On Ruthless Reviews, reviewer Matt said, "Anyone else feel like throwing up?[7]" while talking about specific scenes from the movie. The animation quality is also a large source of criticism for the film, with Greg Ehrbar saying, "Much of it doesn't even look finished -- characters and objects shake, overlap and often don't look anchored in their settings. The characters don't seem in scale with each other, nor from scene to scene[8]." He also went on to make fun of the character designs, stating that, "The creepy villains look grotesque, but so do some of the "nice" characters -- like the evil Mister X and the grocery store manager. Even the copyrighted characters are mere shadows of their former selves as we saw them in commercials. All seem made of PVC and have eyes like marbles." But that wasn't a design choice. it was a budget and technical limitation Footnotes[edit | edit source]
